Bono has revealed that Danger Mouse is producing the next U2 album, which is scheduled to be released early next year.  

The U2 frontman told The Age "We have about 12 songs with him. At the moment that looks like the album we will put out next, because it's just happening so easily."

U2's manager Paul McGuinness has revealed that U2's next album will be released early next year.  

McGuinness told the Irish Times "I would expect a new U2 album sooner than anybody thinks. I would guess early 2011, before the next leg of the American tour, which starts in May."  The band's last album was 2009's 'No Line On The Horizon'

U2 have debuted their version of the song "Boy Falls From the Sky", the lead song that was written by Bono and The Edge for the upcoming Broadway Spider-Man musical.

Bob Parker, the mayor of Christchurch, is in the process of organising a fund raising concert for the earthquake struck city.  

Parker told Radio New Zealand that many New Zealand artists have offered to play at a benefit concert and the Mayor is keen to approach U2's management in the hope that they would headline the event.

U2 frontman Bono was apparently impressed when Muse and U2 guitarist The Edge performed at Glastonbury.  

U2 was originally meant to play the festival but had to pull out due to Bono undergoing emergency back surgery.  During the Muse performance at Glastonbury, The Edge came out and joined in on a performance of U2's 1987 hit 'Where The Streets Have No Name'.
