iTunes to get rid of Ping
Apple are reportedly to shut down their music / social networking service Ping during their next iTunes update.
Ping was launched by Apple in September 2010 in an attempt to enter the world of social networking. The service enabled users to follow and receive updates from artists and their friends. Plans are now in place to integrate Twitter and Facebook in future Apple products.
