Metallica drummer Lars Urlich has commented that the writing process for a new album has begun.  

Urlich is to feature in the January 2013 edition of Metal Hammer and explained to the publication that so far it is "heavy," "energetic" and "fast."

Metallica drummer Lars Urlich has explained that Lou Reed took criticism directed at their collaboration album 'Lulu' to heart.  

Reed teamed up with Metallica last year to record the album, which was based on German playwright Frank Wedekind's 1913 play concerning the life of an abused dancer.  Upon release the album received less than flattering reviews from both fans and critics alike.

Metallica drummer Lars Urlich is being sued by his former personal assistant.  

Stig Wig worked for Urlich from 2001 - 2009.  During that time, Wig claimed that he worked 80 hour weeks and was on call 24 hours a day.  He says that the drummer failed to pay him for the amount of overtime worked.  Wig is seeking damages for alleged labour violations, breach of oral contract and continuing wages.…
