Fresh from releasing his debut solo album 'Blunderbuss' earlier this week, Jack White has been confirmed to write the musical score for the upcoming film 'The Lone Ranger'.  

The movie is set to be released next year and stars Armie Hammer as 'The Lone Ranger' and Johnny Depp as 'Tonto'.  Depp is said to be "thrilled" that White will be recording the soundtrack.

Jack White has revealed a new song from his upcoming solo album 'Blunderbuss'.  

Titled Sixteen Saltines, the song was debuted on Annie Mac's BBC 1 Radio Show last night.  

Blunderbuss is set to be released in late April.
