Russian DJ / Producer Nina Kraviz heads to NZ for the first time at Auckland’s Neck of the Woods this November alongside Icelandic label-mate and recent breakthrough artist Bjarki.
As one of the biggest and most in-demand names in the DJ world, Nina Kraviz has a reputation built on zero compromise and hard work. Her 2012 self-titled debut long player was one of the most critically acclaimed albums of the year and her trajectory to the top has been watched closely ever since.
In the DJ booth she’s renowned for her ability to flip from jacking acid house to techno and electronica with precision; a talent that has seen her grace the stage at the likes of Coachella, Sonar, Amsterdam Dance Event and Glastonbury, as well as a residency at Richie Hawtin’s ENTER project and a regular in control at the world’s best clubs, such as Berghain, Fabric and Space Ibiza. A regular in the Resident Advisor and XLR8R ‘Top DJ’s of the Year’ lists, Kraviz has worked her way to the top of a podium that has been oft topped by her male counterparts.
In addition to her work in the studio and the clubs, her imprint TRIP has emerged as one of electronic music’s most exciting labels – tapping not only new faces such as BJARKI, but also releasing fresh music from electronic music heavyweights such as Aphex Twin, K-Hand, Population One and Phillipp Gorbachev.
