Update on new Vampire Weekend album

Ezra Koenig from Vampire Weekend has given an update concerning the progress of the band's latest album.  

Koenig was interviewed by The Walkmen's frontman Hamilton Leithauser for Spin, where he discussed the follow up album to 2010's 'Contra'.  

He explained "We're working on our album. It's been a long process. We always try to write and record at the same time. So we've always got some ProTools session demo that tends to actually turn into the finished product. I think we have 80 percent of the songs now."

It's thought that the album will be released later this year.
