Soundgarden To Start Recording New Album Next Week

Small

Soundgarden are planning to head back to the studio next week to record their first album in over 15 years.

Frontman Chris Cornell broke the news to Spin saying "We start recording in about a week in Seattle. We don't have a schedule. It's not like we are going to go into the studio and come out when we're finished with an album."

He added "We're putting the music first. The process of writing, recording, and being creative together is the most important thing, not meeting a deadline."

Cornell also confirmed that Adam Kasper, who worked on Soundgarden's 1996 album 'Down On The Upside', will once again be the producer.
