Smashing Pumpkins Add New Bassist

Billy Corgan has recruited a new bassist for Smashing Pumpkins after holding open auditions.

The job goes to Nicole Fiorentino, who has played bass with both Veruca Salt and Spinnerette.

A note on her Myspace page states "Nicole is proud to announce that she is the newest member of The Smashing Pumpkins. She is keeping herself very busy these days in the studio with Billy and the rest of the pumpkins crew. She will also be performing live with band for any future tours/gigs."
