Sharon Osbourne Adamant She Didn't Fire Black Sabbath Drummer

Sharon Osbourne has made a statement denying rumours she fired Black Sabbath drummer Bill Ward.  

Last year Black Sabbath announced that the original line-up would be reforming for a new album and tour.  Recently however, Ward revealed that he would not be part of the band unless he received a "signable" contract.  The remaining Black Sabbath members replied via their Facebook page writing "We have no choice but to continue recording without him although our door is always open."

Speculation has been rife that it was actually Ozzy Osbourne's wife Sharon who was behind Bill Ward leaving the band.  Defending herself, Sharon wrote on Twitter "I am not in any position to hire or fire anyone in Black Sabbath. I don't manage the band, I manage my husband."

Black Sabbath are currently in the UK where they are working on the new recording.
