Lady Gaga Indonesia show officially cancelled
Lady Gaga has been forced to cancel her upcoming show in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Earlier this month, Lady Gaga was refused a permit to perform in the Indonesian capital following protests from hard-line Islamist organisations. Gaga was hopeful to perform a scaled down show but the concert has now been officially called off following threats.
Minola Sebayang, the lawyer for Indonesian concert promoter Big Daddy released a statement which read "With threats if the concert goes ahead, Lady Gaga's side is calling off the concert. This is not only about Lady Gaga's security, but extends to those who will be watching her."
Lady Gaga tweeted "We had to cancel the concert in Indonesia. I'm so very sorry to the fans & just as devastated as you if not more. You are everything to me". She added "I will try to put together something special for you. My love for Indonesia has only grown. #GagaSendsLoveToJakarta and all its people."
Lady Gaga is set to play three concerts at Auckland's Vector Arena on June 7th, 8th and 10th.
