Chris Cornell Clears Up Kanye West Situation

Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell has cleared up any confusion on what was perceived to be a dig at Kanye West.  

While Soundgarden were playing their set at the Gold Coast Big Day Out, the soundcheck taking place for fellow headliner Kanye West's performance could be heard between songs.  At the time Cornell commented  "Sounds like there's children playing music there, retarded children, retarded as in held back. There's no other word for it."

Cornell explained the comment via his Twitter account stating "My comments @ BDO were directed solely at inadequate tour production. Kanye had nothing to do with it! We love him."

The next Big Day Out show takes place in Sydney this Friday.
